......"Doug seems to be quite at home alone on the stage with a mic in his hand telling stories to the audience or sitting behind the piano belting out songs in just about every musical genre. He is a fine piano player and singer with a good command of various styles. ( I especially like his FLOYD CRAMER style that he tosses in here and there). Plays a pretty mean harmonica also !!
A thoroughly delightful little lady by the name of ODELIA KRANZ is an unexpected surprise addition to the show with her well done acting out of some of the songs.....like Bette Midler's....THE ROSE....and .... a killer ELVIS skit!!! The crowd loved it!!
The crowd also likes it when he talks with them instead of at them. He has a knack for bringing people into "MY WORLD" (as he puts it). I have not heard anyone do it quite like he does it, (he maintains that his grey hair commands respect). Could very well be."
